At Taylor and Dewhurst we are independent, family run opticians that have been established in Romiley, Stockport since 1971. We are a small independent practice meaning that we can provide you with a professional personalised service from your eye test through to the choosing of your glasses. We pride ourselves on giving the highest standard of care which is why all of our staff members have undertaken a minimum of 3 years of degree level training in optics. Cancellation and failure to attend policy

Due to an increase in missed appointments, we have had to introduce a new company policy. All missed appointments or appointments cancelled within 24 hours will be chargable at £20. Whilst this charge does not cover the amount that a missed appointment costs us, we hope that it acts as a deterrent and a reminder of the impact that missed appointments have on healthcare businesses. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

We try to make sure that our services are accessible to everyone. This is why our whole practice is situated on the ground floor meaning that all testing rooms are wheelchair accessible. We can also tailor any of our services to accommodate for any disabilities. Whether longer test times are needed or shapes and numbers are required instead of letters, just let us know before the eye exam and we will tailor the test to the individual needs of the patient.
